We hope you will find it informative and interesting. It is intended to be helpful and give a better understanding of secondary liver cancer and the treatment options.
You will find on the following pages a taste of the wide range of activities we undertake to support our role in providing equipment for liver cancer surgery here in Guildford at our local hospital, our role in widely distributing a patient’s guide and our role in future research.
Our Appeal is a registered charity, independent of the NHS and we rely entirely on public support to fund our vital work.
Liver cancer surgery is performed by Professor Nariman Karanjia MS FRCS (Gen) at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, Surrey. He started the liver resection service in 1997, the same year we started the Appeal.
The service and demand for surgery, continues to grow.
